Title: Insulation Installer
Reports to: Insulation Install Manager
FLSA Status: Non - Exempt
Division: Ocean Isle Beach, NC

Purpose:
Under the direction of the Insulation Install Manager, fiberglass insulation is installed according to job requirements.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installs insulation, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.
  • Loading and unloading materials and logging materials onto a company truck
  • Cuts insulation materials to size and install them in frames, ceilings, attics, or crawlspaces
  • Installing insulation materials by stapling, gluing, wiring, nailing, or operating equipment that injects loose-fill or foamed insulation.
  • Works on ladders and in tight spaces
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine insulation requirements
  • Seals gaps and cracks to ensure proper insulation in compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Install vapor barriers and fire-retardant materials when required
  • Observe job site safety rules
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle
  • Demonstrate positive interactions with the public and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, and other department employees so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized
  • Support and contribute to effective safety and risk management efforts by adhering to established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment, promoting accident prevention, and identifying and reporting potential liabilities
  • Adhere to company procedures, policies, and protocols as outlined in the Hourly Employees Handbook
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Experience in the construction or building materials industry
  • Knowledge in building and insulation codes
  • Comfortable using standard hand tools
  • Able to work in tight spaces, including attics and crawlspaces
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Regularly required to climb, bend, twist and turn body at shoulders, waist and knees
  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • There is regular exposure to outside weather conditions during visits to the yard.
