Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Conduct thorough medical assessments for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) candidates.
  • Review medical histories, perform physical exams, and interpret diagnostic tests to determine HBOT eligibility.

Treatment Planning and Management:

  • Develop individualized HBOT treatment plans based on patient conditions, medical histories, and therapeutic goals.
  • Determine appropriate protocols, dosages, and treatment durations following evidence-based guidelines.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment parameters to optimize patient outcomes.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Administration:

  • Administer HBOT according to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chambers and equipment.
  • Supervise treatment sessions to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team, including wound care specialists, nurses, technicians, and support staff.
  • Educate patients, families, and referring physicians about HBOT and discuss treatment plans.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and procedural documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance protocols.

Education and Training:

  • Stay updated with advances in hyperbaric medicine through continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.
  • Provide education and training to medical staff and other healthcare professionals on hyperbaric medicine principles and clinical best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty (e.g., Emergency Medicine, Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine).
  • Fellowship training in Hyperbaric Medicine.
  • State medical licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Strong clinical skills, diagnostic proficiency, and therapeutic decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a team-based environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and evidence-based practice.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary and Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary with additional incentive opportunities
  • $130,000 sign-on bonus ($30,000 after start, $100,000 over three years)
  • $20,000 relocation assistance
