Parts Counter Sales Associate

Job Summary
The Parts Counter Sales Associate is responsible for customer service and parts sales of all golf car parts and add on accessories. The Parts Counter Sales Associate is responsible for selling parts and helping customers find the parts they need and ensuring that they have a positive experience while in the store. The Parts Counter Sales Associate also helps customers and clients make orders via a catalogue for parts that are not in stock. The Parts Counter Sales Associate may need to deliver price quotes over the phone and offer status updates on shipments of parts. Duties may also involve offering basic advice about parts selections.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services
- Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services
- Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff
- Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns
- Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
- Sells products and/or services to repair the problem and meet the customer's needs.
- Processing orders from walk-ins, incoming calls, and website orders
- Processing credit card payments and refunds to customers, along with handling billing inquiries
- Determining prices for items based on knowledge of store policies and manufacturer pricing guidelines
- Assist in keeping the parts department clean and orderly
- Record all sales and/or customer transactions that occur
- Provide service technicians with parts as required
- Looking up parts in parts catalog for the many vendors we offer
- Helping customers with find parts they need
- Other duties may be assigned by management as needed
Required Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge and experience in Golf Cars
- Excellent communication skills including active listening.
- Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent sales skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Self-starter
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
Education and Experience
- 3 years or more experience in driving industry
- 3 years or more experience in sales
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 25 years of age or older in order to be insured under company insurance
- Clean driving record with valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
