Associate Worship Pastor

JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Worship Pastor (AWP) role at BattleCreek Church is a Worship Pastor (WP) training role. During their time the AWP will learn to execute all the duties/responsibilities of a WP to prepare them for the role of Worship Pastor.

The Associate Worship Pastor (AWP) will assist the Worship Pastor (WP) in the planning, production, and execution of the worship experience per the assigned WP’s instruction in accordance with BattleCreek Worship’s values and standards.

The AWP will assist the WP in the day-to-day execution/activities for the worship experience and/or directing the teams that deliver the Worship Experience per the assigned WP’s instruction – band, vocalist, media, technology, and their associated systems.

The AWP will assist the WP with worship, media and technical needs for all campus ministries and events.

POSITION SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist WP in Planning and execution of the worship experience
• Builds relationships with people connecting them to Christ, the church, their ministry in the church, and mission in the world
• Assist WP to Recruit and develop musicians, vocalists, tech volunteers and creative artists
• Ensures the setup, tear down and storage of equipment for services (if applicable for location)
• Assist in Planning, preparation and execution of all worship experiences using support systems, i.e. Planning Center, Ableton, ProPresenter, Vista, etc.
• Assist WP in communication support to the Campus Pastor
• Participation in regular staff meeting and personal and job skill development activities.
• Coordinate/perform other projects and duties as directed by the assigned Worship Pastor and the Lead Worship Pastor
