Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary:
The Payroll Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering and updating payroll information in the company’s payroll system. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. This position will report to the Payroll Manager. 

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry:

  • Enter payroll information into the payroll system accurately and promptly.
  • Input timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, and leave taken.

Communication:

  • Communicate with employees to resolve any payroll discrepancies or inquiries.
  • Work closely with the HR department to ensure accurate employee information.
  • Maintain constant communication with all subcontractors and general contractors
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Collect and review timesheets, wage determinations, and other payroll documentation.
  • Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to contracting agencies and clients.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to certified payroll reports.

Audits and Inspections:
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to certified payroll.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and respond to audit inquiries promptly.
  • Ensure all payroll records are available for inspection by relevant authorities.
  • Review subcontractor reports for discrepancies

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Hourly Range: $25 - $29
