Maintenance Technician, Full-Time- Tamarac, FL

Compensation:

$18 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement preventative maintenance protocols to keep equipment operations smooth and eliminate safety risks
  • Record when any equipment was serviced and repairs were made
  • Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed
  • Ensure all equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring are in working order by conducting routine maintenance and handle any repairs, if needed
  • Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Change AC filters/Vacuum AC vents
  • Cleaning and Maintenance- Perform routine cleaning tasks in common areas of the condominium such as lobbies, restrooms, trash rooms, hallways/catwalks, elevators, offices, laundry rooms, clubhouse, and recreational areas
  • Trash Removal- Collect and dispose of trash materials in accordance with community guidelines
  • Floor Care- Sweep, mop vacuum, and maintain the cleanliness of floors, carpets, and entryways
  • Light Repairs- Address minor maintenance issues such as changing lightbulbs, fixing leaking faucets, and repairing minor damage as needed
  • Grounds Maintenance- Assist with outdoor cleaning, including sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaping upkeep. Pick up and discard any debris/trash/palm prawns in common areas
  • Safety Compliance- Ensure that all cleaning and maintenance activities follow safety protocols and guidelines
  • Reporting- Take pictures and document any maintenance or safety concerns to the property manager or supervisor promptly
  • Painting
  • Ability to handle a pressure washer and basic knowledge of use
  • Remove debris from the roof and property
  • Inspect property and report to Management any issues or findings
  • Having your own tools is a plus
  • Picks up trash and debris
  • Works closely with the Property Manager, Board, and other team members to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
  • Completes all tasks in a positive, professional manner consistent manner
  • Able to complete basic checklists and inspections as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques
  • Superb attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Flexible availability for on-call maintenance requests on nights and weekends
  • Over 2 years of maintenance experience

  • Must have a reliable source of transportation
  • Fluent both verbally and written in English
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
