Position Summary:
Responsible for leading the 1st Assistant Operator and 2nd Assistant Operator in the set-up and operation of machines to collate, fold and glue, or apply window film to cartons to customer specifications within the company’s quality and efficiency standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
Studies, evaluates and organizes daily work list received from Supervisor to determine maximum efficiency in order of runs.
Inputs set-up information into computer using information from job ticket worksheet.
Enters set-up code, run code and related comments into work station computer.
Sets up and adjusts machine to accurately fold, glue and package product.
Able to identify, verify, and match color for set-ups and quality checks on printed packaging.
Runs machine to produce product to proper customer specifications.
Inputs total piece, finished product, and unit and scrap weight into work station computer.
Directs and works along with assistant to complete make ready procedure and production run in the most efficient manner for each order.
Provides on-going training to all assistant personnel, switching duties with assistant operator at least once a week.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Follows all quality set-up, run and check out procedures for accuracy and quality.
Able to operate all folder gluer machines.
Accurately complete first piece checklist.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs daily warm-up exercises.
Alerts Material Handler of any schedule changes or materials needed.
Notifies Supervisor immediately of any incidences or recurring equipment malfunctions.
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly clean-up and preventative maintenance procedures, notifying maintenance personnel of anymechanical problems.
Attends authorized training programs and fills out required safety documents.
Remains current on changes in policies and procedures.
Knows, understands, and follows all safety rules and polices including SQF and GMP.

Monday-Thursday 6pm-6am
