Job Summary

The Superintendent will work closely with the project manager, vice president, sales team, estimators, office staff, and especially with multiple superintendents of the company. The superintendent will interface with client staff including foremen to confirm that the site is ready for installation of our greenroof and amenity decks. The superintendent is responsible for the work and conduct of the crews and crew leaders assigned to this individual. **This position is a 100% Travel position. You MUST be willing and able to travel 300+ days a year. This position will cover our Florida market**


Duties & Functions

  • Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation.
  • Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs.
  • Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
  • Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
  • Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
  • Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.
  • Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
Requirements:

Qualifications & Standards

  • Must be willing and able to travel 300+ days a year.
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish and English)
  • Must have prior experience as a superintendent.
  • Must be able to travel weeks at a time.
  • Lift over 50lbs
  • OSHA 30 or willing to get.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Rigging certification preferred.
  • Microsoft suite proficient.
  • Good with working at heights.
  • Basic construction and or landscape skills a plus.
  • Maintain and encourage good relationships with the crew/crew leaders and with the customer’s field staff.
  • Professionally represent the company as he or she interacts with customers, office and field staff.
  • Serve as an example to the crew leader and crew of integrity, ingenuity, and honesty.
  • Expected to NEVER ask anything of his or her crew and crew leaders that he or she is not willing to do themselves.
  • Always adhere to company safety guidelines and ensure that those whom he or she leads will also follow these guidelines.
