Conifer Park is looking for a Full-time Assistant Clinical Director to join our Outpatient team in Syracuse, NY. As the Assistant Director who reports directly to the Clinical Director you will be responsible for carrying out clinical goals and objectives, staffing needs, direct program operation and management and maintains the clinical aspects of Conifer Park program in compliance with the standards for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals and New York Licensure.
Additional Responsibilities will include:

  • Will be responsible for covering units.
  • Assist in providing direct in-vivo supervision to program management and clinical case management staff to ensure that each program unit has consistent and effective clinical services on a daily basis.
  • Assist in quality assurance and performance improvement projects.
  • Assist and/or manage employee recruitment and retention activities.
  • Provides direct in-vivo clinical training to program management, case management, and TA staff on milieu management and evidence based clinical interventions (e.g., motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy).
  • Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, workshops, webinars, and online trainings.
  • Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
  • Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires.
  • Provides internal consulting to management to drive organizational change and effectiveness.
  • Create a positive environment that encourages continuous learning, staff empowerment, and enhances and communicates corporate culture and values.
  • Support curriculum development and evaluation of modules related to harm reduction, substance use, recovery support, trauma informed care, and skills for working with clients.
  • Develop and deliver training agendas, materials and activities.
  • Oversee training and intervention implementation.
  • Design and facilitate learning collaborative sessions for peer supervisors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community providers serving people with substance use disorder.
  • Assist in managing clinical department staffing patterns and scheduling (Program managers and case managers).
  • Completes payroll process for clinical staff.
  • Participates in all duties of the therapist on a limited and/or random basis and is available on an emergency basis to respond to problems outside of routine working hours.

This is a full-time job (8.5 Hours) within the range 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Requirements:

Masters' Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling with either a Limited permit or license, with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, and at least 1-year supervisory experience in alcoholism/chemical dependency field. Must demonstrate the following: Competence in organizational and administrative areas; a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, Strong customer service skills dealing with internal and external customers.
