The Master Production Scheduler plays a critical role in our enterprise-wide manufacturing operations by developing and maintaining accurate production schedules across multiple sites. This position is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the flow of materials, resources, and manpower to meet customer demands, minimize inventory costs, and maximize production efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of production planning and scheduling principles.

In this role you will get to:

  • Demonstrate Trystar’s guiding principles and values.
  • Develop and maintain master production schedules for multiple sites enterprise-wide based on customer orders, demand plans & forecasts, production capacity, and material availability ensuring alignment between ERP production schedules with customer requirements.
  • Lead activities to ensure supply plan and master schedule are aligned, in partnership with IBP, and work to reconcile planning elements when disconnects arise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including demand/supply manager, customer experience, production planning, procurement, engineering, and sales, to gather relevant information and ensure accurate plans & schedules identifying variances against planned rates to drive corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and production requirements to effectively balance supply and demand.
  • Evaluate production processes, lead times, and capacity constraints to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize scheduling efficiency.
  • Communicate production schedules and updates to various stakeholders, including customer experience team, production planning, sales, engineering.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including inventory levels, production outputs, and schedule changes, using appropriate software systems.
  • Identify and assess risk, issues, and conflicts that may impact the schedule, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Provide input and support in the development and implementation of production planning strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to production scheduling and implement relevant improvements as necessary.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years plus proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical equipment or metal fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proficiency in using production scheduling software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive mindset and ability to anticipate potential production issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • APICS certification a plus
