Job Title: Scheduler & Dispatcher Support

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

 

SUMMARY


Primary responsibilities will include coordinating and maintaining daily operations for vehicle fleet management.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Ensure that maintenance for 5310 state vehicles follow ALDOT guidelines.
  • Initiate POs for vehicle maintenance
  • Initiate, track, and coordinate accident insurance claims
  • Track daily vehicle pre and post trip driver logs to ensure that reporting issues are addressed.
  • Coordinate vehicle repair with Fleet Support in timely manner
  • Maintain database with vehicle maintenance and repair information.
  • Track fuel usage, days operated, mileage, detail client trip data, and repair and maintenance cost for 5310 state vehicles.
  • Assist in dropping off and transporting fleet to Arc of Madison locations.
  • Keep track of all vehicles through various stages of repairs, communicate with vendors, and keep supervisors informed of repair progress.
  • Ensure that all vehicles have updated insurance, registration, and tags.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual 5310 ALDOT reports.
  • Attend required ALDOT training for 5310 state vehicle reporting compliance
  • Track maintenance requests and schedule maintenance repairs
  • Oversee Fire and Life Safety monthly safety audits and coordinate repair of all safety problems.
  • Be punctual and in attendance at work as scheduled.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

essential duty satisfactorily. Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask effectively, strong

written and verbal communication skills, ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of

 accuracy, working knowledge of vehicle maintenance, comfortable working independently with   minimal supervision.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

Must have a High school diploma or GED Certification. Minimum 1-year experience in vehicle or fleet management.  Experience with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word), Well versed in Microsoft Excel.  Comprehensive knowledge of personal computers.
