The Installation Manager will lead a team of Installers in both the AOR and new construction departments to ensure customer’s jobs are ready for installation in a safe and efficient manner. The Install Manager will oversee quality and efficiency of Installers, manage labor efficiencies, control material usage, and keep customer callbacks to a minimum. The position will evaluate the team’s workload and schedules to maximize profits. Communication is Key The position is responsible for coordinating communication between field supervisors, installers, customers, vendors, and the office. Clear and concise communication with the General Manager, Field Supervisors, Service Manager, Lead Installers and customers are essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Manages and develops the installation staff, which includes hiring, coaching, scheduling, and setting work priorities for employees.

  • Manage install purchasing procedures and orders. Purchase equipment and materials.
  • Manage all warehouse functions including personnel and inventory.
  • Oversee the Quality Control of installations
  • Ensures the safety and efficiency of installers, including managing labor efficiencies, controlling material usage, and keeping callbacks to a minimum.
  • Manage the overall supervision of the installation crews and the profitability of installation department in AOR and New Construction.
  • Conduct meetings, evaluate employee performance and direct work assignments to ensure production is completed.
  • Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. Resolve open issues in a fast and efficient manner.
  • Conduct job site surveys for quality and safety.
  • Create and manage budgets.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings. Work closely with the Home Comfort Advisor (sales).
  • Assist with progress billing process for projects as needed. Monitor equipment/material budgets established in Service Titan or Estimates.
  • Ensures that materials and equipment are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs and schedules repairs for parts to ensure minimal down-time in job completion.
  • Generate reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory, tools, and vehicles.
  • Reviews and approve payroll weekly.
  • Oversees facility and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensures that all jobs have permits and the inspections are called in timely.
  • Maintain equipment pricing with General Manager.
Requirements:
  • Advanced customer service skills experience, preferably two years of experience.
  • Must have residential HVAC sales, leadership, and project management experience.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Geographical knowledge of sales areas a plus, or map reading skills.
  • High-school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communications, computer, and mathematical skills
  • Valid California Driver License and MVR to meet company policy requirements.
