Summary

The primary objective of this position is to transfer materials from stock-on-hand to production and/or shipping as saleable goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Include the following:

  • Picking and packing to prepare materials for manufacturing
  • Pick and packing to prepare customer orders for shipment
  • Receiving gods into the manufacturing and warehouse sites
  • Purchase order entry
  • Material sampling and storing of incoming freight
  • Organization of inventory in manufacturing and off-site warehouses
  • Loading/unloading of delivery trucks
  • When applicable, this position may require driving the box truck between buildings.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with medium duty box trucks (18-26 feet)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be fork truck certified
  • DOT Medical Certificate may be required and must be attainable

Supervisory Responsibilities. This job has no supervisory responsibilities .

  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills - Knowledge of MES and MRP systems, Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word & Excel.
