Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and optimize the financial operations of our plant, driving financial excellence and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting

  • Oversee all accounting functions including cash management, AR/AP, inventory, capital assets, tooling, and intercompany transactions
  • Lead month-end processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with local GAAP/IFRS
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
  • Monitor and analyze plant spending, capital projects, and working capital

2. Cost Accounting

  • Ensure accuracy of costs and inventory transactions
  • Review and reconcile actual vs. standard costs
  • Perform annual BOM (bill of material) reviews and update standard costs

3. Management Accounting

  • Prepare monthly forecasts and financial analyses for plant management
  • Compile financial packages for corporate management reviews
  • Track and report monthly plant performance KPIs
  • Lead annual budgeting process, collaborating with departmental managers

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Support CI initiatives with clear financial objectives
  • Assist in profit maximization strategies
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities across departments

5. Internal Controls and Audit

  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions
  • Strengthen existing controls and ensure compliance with corporate financial policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and cost accounting principles
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
