At Little Words Project, the Visual Merchandising Manager promotes visual merchandising excellence in Little Words Project brick-and-mortar stores through an understanding of brand strategies and thoughtful merchandising.

Responsibilities

  • Visual Merchandising Strategy
    • Lead in-store adaptation of brand directive
    • Utilize selling data and product insights to layout stores, measure fixture productivity and work with store managers to deliver sell through of key products / collections
    • Implement tools and processes for scalable execution of merchandising strategies
    • Establish VM standards that include marketing, product placement, visual display standards, lighting, etc.
    • Implement merchandising fundamentals to stores both virtually and workshops
    • Closely analyze and inspect execution of store VM standards, facilities and other store components
  • Ongoing Business Actions
    • Distribute category performance and selling reports
    • Work closely with Planning and Marketing teams to efficiently drive allocations
    • Review and approve all inventory transfer orders, including raw material processes
    • Manage bead and material menu and keep all SKUs up to date
    • Lead Merchandising sessions during weekly all-hands meetings
    • Action VM plan for slow moving product / collections and lead RTB processes
    • Proactively plan for seasonality/holidays and collaboration launches
  • Store Visual Presentation Mapping
    • Own store-by-store planogram and manage merchandising maps by fixture type
    • Lead in-store campaign development
    • Lead store and fixture design for NSO sign-off
    • Work with vendors to procure and design new fixture ideas
  • Store Team Leadership
    • Lead training of store visual leads and inspect execution
    • Ensure leads are properly following inventory and VM Protocol
    • Utilize Progress retail to manage inventory-related tasks
    • Conduct workshops and create store execution playbook

Qualifications

  • 7+ year experience in Retail Visual Merchandising with detailed knowledge of fashion & retail
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills with a passion for innovation, creativity, and the ability to deliver with a standard of excellence
  • A hands-on problem solver with a willingness to work in the details and find opportunities to change process to drive efficiencies
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change and new processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively across varied cross functional teams
