PRN Staff Pharmacist

PRN Staff Pharmacist Position Available at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Ga.   This person would work on a as needed basis. Hours are Monday- Friday 7:30am-4pm and Saturday 8am to around 10:30 or 11 on hospital side then 11 - 1 or 2 on retail side depending on what the nursing home needs are. Sunday is 8 - 10 or 11 for a clean up/Pyxis restock on hospital side only. 

• This is not a remote/work-from-home position
• No hospital pharmacy experience required
• The Pharmacy Hours are Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4pm
  Sat/Sun Pharmacists only for a 2-3 hour clean up shift in the morning 

Job Description: 

Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation. Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand. Interprets physician medication orders. Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties. Responsible for supervising technicians on duty during shift.

Ability to represent the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner; ability to maintain customer confidentiality at all times; ability to comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices; ability to exercise judgment; ability to interact with all types of people; ability to maintain remain professional in all situations; ability to use time effectively. Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment to include automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.
