Are you an experienced Box Office or Front of House Manager looking for additional gigs? Coronado School for the Arts is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply


Coronado School of the Arts is looking for a friendly and motivated individual to supervise our box office volunteers and manage box office operations. As a Box Office Supervisor you will assist, direct and provide supervision to all volunteers on performance days.


This position pays a $150 stipend per event for all main stage shows (musicals, dramas, dance) and $50 per event for Black Box shows (average 25 to 75 people attendance). A team of volunteers support all efforts with this paid manager supervising the work.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise box office volunteers on performance days; assist with day-of-performance set up, customer service questions, and technology issues.
  • Include pre-event briefings and box office volunteer deployment in collaboration with the CoSA Foundation Assistant.
  • Utilize the ticketing and PoS (Square) system to process ticket sales, troubleshoot customer issues and provide staff support.
  • Ensure the ticket seller volunteers are implementing and following all box office policies and procedures.
  • Ensure volunteers selling concessions have all necessary equipment to process concession sales in the lobby.
  • Ensure volunteers selling CoSA merchandise have all necessary equipment to process concession sales in the lobby.
  • Supervise ushers for quality control of customers entering the theater.
  • Connect with Director and Technical staff for start of show notifications, intermission support and close of box office after the show.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience supervising customer service personnel.
  • Previous experience with ticketing systems preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate outstanding work ethic and leadership skills, including excellent attendance, professional appearance and behavior.
  • Display a positive and team-oriented attitude.
  • Required to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Bilingual applicants encouraged.
