JOB OVERVIEW: Play a pivotal role in sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding exceptional talent. Build talent pipelines and partner with leaders to select and onboard top-tier candidates. Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute employer branding initiatives on social media platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment Strategy and Execution:
- Proactively build and maintain a robust talent pipeline ahead of posting roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to identify the best fit for open positions.
- Utilize a variety of sourcing methods to attract diverse candidates, including job boards, social media, and networking events.
Onboarding:
- Collaborate with leadership to streamline and standardize the onboarding process for new hires.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative efficiency and enhance the new hire experience.
- Ensure that new employees are effectively introduced to company culture, values, and tools.
Employer Branding and Marketing:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute employer branding initiatives on social media platforms.
- Promote the company as an employer of choice and showcase our culture and values to attract top talent.
- Leverage employer branding efforts to support broader organizational goals and initiatives.
Other HR Activities:
- Support HR initiatives and projects as needed, including professional development, employee surveys, and employee handbook updates.
- Collaborate with leadership on culture-setting and employee engagement activities.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- 2-3 years of experience in sourcing and recruiting required.
- Strong understanding of sourcing and recruitment best practices and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with employer branding and social media marketing preferred.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and tools is a plus.
This position will work remotely with occasional trips (2-3 days per month) to our lab in Ames, IA. Visa sponsorship and relocation are not available.
