About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical area.
Responsibilities:
- Assistant Duties:
- Preparing dental instruments and materials for procedures.
- Chairside assisting the dentist during examinations, cleanings, fillings, and other procedures.
- Taking dental x-rays and intraoral scans.
- Sterilization of instruments.
- Turning over rooms and keeping a clean work environment.
- Cleaning and decontaminating used dental instruments according to established protocols
- Loading and operating sterilizers (e.g., autoclaves) to ensure proper sterilization cycles
- Maintaining sterilization logs and records.
- Ensuring the sterilization area is clean and organized.
- Preparing treatment rooms for the next patient by restocking supplies, disinfecting surfaces, and laying out necessary instruments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Dental assisting, preferably in a multi-specialty dental practice.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and possess a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
- Knowledge of Carestack and Slack is a plus.
