Boiler Technician

Leadman & Associates is looking for an experienced Boiler Technician to make a significant impact within a manufacturing facility in the Russell, KS area. You will report to the Maintenance Manager.

The role offers the opportunity to ensure safe and continuous operations of the facility's utility program, including boilers, water treatment systems, cooling towers, tanks, and related equipment.

In this role, you will:

• Communicate with plant, production, and maintenance teams on utility program operations
• Conduct daily walk-throughs to verify equipment is operating efficiently, correctly, and safely
• Perform tests and inspections on boilers, water systems, cooling towers, and chillers
• Treat boilers, cooling towers, and chillers with chemicals to prevent issues
• Repair chemical pumps and maintain proper chemical levels
• Manage chemical usage and inventory
• Conduct microbiological control and testing in cooling towers
• Grease and maintain cooling tower pumps
• Attend monthly safety meetings
• Assist general maintenance as requested

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in any industry as long as you have experience with boilers (i.e. food, manufacturing, hospitals, industrial plants, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of general machinery maintenance
• Willingness to learn the utility program
• Communication, analytical, and documentation skills
• Physical ability to perform the job functions
• (Most job knowledge is acquired through on-the-job experience)

Shift: On-site, 7am - 4:30pm, on call when needed
