WholesomeCo is leading the movement to normalize cannabis as a natural path to health and wellness. Various medical cannabis services are offered, including statewide delivery to 99% of Utah's population, as well as retail, drive-thru, online pick-up services through its pharmacy in West Bountiful, an in-house built app for patients, innovative technology resources, cannabis cultivation, and cannabis processing of our constantly growing line of WholesomeCo branded products. Our vertically integrated company is well known for its technology-driven approach, our focus on data, and perpetual innovation. WholesomeCo is committed to improving medical cannabis accessibility by putting patients' needs first and guiding them along their personal cannabis journeys. This Driver Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all delivery drivers, overseeing all driver leads, collaborating with the other demand departments, and ensuring a successful delivery operation for all of our patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Recruit, train, develop, and manage a team of 70+ delivery drivers and delivery leads
- Oversee operational efficiency: take ownership of key programs and business processes, identify operational weaknesses, and drive innovation and scalability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with team members across all departments to identify and solve problems
- Uphold and coach operations procedures, internal policy, cannabis regulation, and workplace safety standards
- Documentation, implementation, and constant refinement of SOPs
- Make safety-conscious decisions while ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Expeditiously handle, communicate, and update the appropriate systems of all potential issues, problems, accidents, or equipment breakdowns we might experience
- Excellent organizational skills and focus; ability to analyze each situation in a calm and professional manner to address Drivers’ needs and provide the correct answer/resolution, troubleshooting, or other methods for a positive experience
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
- Monitors fuel expenditures, rental costs, and manages vehicle setup and maintenance.
- Develop high performing drivers through daily interactions, coaching, conducting regular reviews, holding them accountable to the deliveries they are assigned to and effectively following standard operating procedures.
- Track and analyze reports and performance metrics. Use data to determine trends and variances, as well as identify areas in which positive changes can be made
- Maintain an on-going knowledge of company products and current state laws regarding medical cannabis and delivery regulations
- Set goals with your teams to align their efforts and success with the company goals/objectives
- Other job duties as requested
Qualifications:
- 2-5 yrs. of management/leadership experience
- 3+ yrs experience in supply chain, logistics, or industry related field is preferred
- Must be available to work on a flexible schedule.
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as necessary
- Intrinsically motivated with a high level of initiative and enjoy working with minimal supervision
- Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a sense of humor and good nature
- Passion to understand new things and solve problems in creative and unconventional ways
- Ability to quickly adjust strategy and execution in the face of new information
- Critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills are a necessity
- Flexibility and ability to adjust to a start-up environment that is fast-paced and constantly changing
- You embody a customer-centric approach. Considering the customers perspective, incorporating customer feedback into processes and behaviors, and creating a tailored experience that is designed to delight them
- Strong attention to detail; you dig into all of the minutiae and understand every aspect of the business; you love to learn, and when something isn’t clear you figure it out
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and professional presence
- Data-first problem solving with excellent Excel / data analysis / business intelligence skills
- Experience with operational excellence, such as Kaizen practices or Lean Six Sigma certification strongly preferred
- Ability to recruit and develop a dynamic team, identify talent, and foster growth
- Experience working directly with independent contractors
- Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
- Must be able to bend, lift and stoop continuously
- Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Must be 21 years of age or older
