Primoris Industrial and Civil seeks a Civil Field Engineer in Port Arthur, Texas. The role involves planning and overseeing large-scale civil projects, primarily focused on earthwork and site development. Full-time position with potential weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with technical engineering for project & construction management to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, and specifications
  • Assist with project submittals, submittal acquisition from subcontractors, and review incoming submittals prior to transmitting to the owner/engineer
  • Coordinating with owner and engineer representatives during the project
  • Allocate cost codes to the appropriate field operations and track/maintain quantities to verify subcontractor/supplier billing
  • Track and compile records of materials, equipment, and labor for any/all change orders and field orders.
  • Provide technical assistance with project scheduling
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports throughout the project
  • Assist project management in all job aspects
  • Coordinate with Survey as required to facilitate the construction
  • Work with safety department to analyze potential job hazards and prepare plan to eliminate risks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Field Engineer/Assistant Project Manager in the construction/heavy civil industry
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literate, Viewpoint, HCSS, AUTOCAD, and Primavera desirable
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license prior to employment.
