IT Intern

As an IT Intern with Mirion, you will assist in providing IT technical support for M365, troubleshooting software and hardware, hardware/software upgrades, basic networking, share level permissions, print queue issues, DHCP and DNS issues, and creating/maintaining documented processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assist Mirion IT Department with maintenance and support of network devices and peripherals, installations and support of servers, workstations, laptops, and network hardware.
• Provision computers and other accessories.
• Assist with basic help desk support.
• Assist with special projects related to hardware and software enhancement/troubleshooting.
• Maintain IT inventory.
• Handle user account lockouts, expired passwords and password resets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Completion of 1+ years of college coursework towards a degree in IT, Computer Science, software development, network engineering or related IT field.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
• Strong analytical skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Business casual office and manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on computer for extended periods.
