What you can expect:

Reporting to the IDD Director, our Therapists/Autism Evaluator provides a range of individual, family, and group counseling services to assigned individuals from a range of diagnostic categories and needs (mental illness, severe emotional disturbance, co-occurring mild intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders).

How you will make an impact:

  • Provide outpatient therapy services to children, and families utilizing evidence-based treatment (ie. CBT, MI, TFCBT, DBT)
  • Complete a full comprehensive autism evaluation
  • Provide therapy to individuals enrolled in the MI Health Link Insurance program
  • Complete treatment plans for individuals/families assigned
  • Complete annual re-assessments and related paperwork for individuals assigned
  • May provide evidence-based group therapy co-facilitation
  • Participate in required training, staffing, and supervision with supervisor
  • Assure coordination of care with primary stakeholders for assigned caseload
  • Assure all therapy related documentation is completed thoroughly and in a timely manner (ie progress notes, periodic reviews, discharge/transition summaries, etc.)

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • MS/MA/MSW eligible to obtain MI licensure
  • LLP or LMSW (preferred)
  • Previous experience working with autism screening (preferred)

ADA Specifications:

  • Work is normally performed in an office setting
  • May be required to sit for long periods of time
