GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Coordinate and administer all functions of quality assurance and statistical process control in the plant manufacturing areas for our Clyde, Ohio operations. Our Quality Manager role coordinates quality assurance functions with all other departments to ensure reliable products, which exceed product standards and customer expectations, striving for ZERO defects. This role will drive quality culture throughout the organization, while also developing and administering policies in accordance with customer needs and the Quality Operating System.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives quality culture throughout the organization.
  • Oversees Quality Operating System to ensure compliance to the overall Revere Operating System.
  • Reduce variation through the implementation of effective quality techniques.
  • Assists customers in ensuring that their quality needs and expectations are not only met, but exceeded.
  • Assists in the improvement of systems to increase efficiency, reduce loss, and achieve department and company goals.
  • Supports quality planning activities through APQP process.
  • Prioritizes planned and unplanned measurement requests from internal and external customers.
  • Develops and maintains supplier quality programs.
  • Supports RPS strategic plan by meeting monthly, quarterly and annual goals and objectives, including all KPIs and KPMs pertaining to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment which are established and tracked by the ROS Balance Scorecard. Assumes direct responsibility for meeting primary goals and objectives, as well as assuming a shared and supporting responsibility with other peer managers for meeting their primary goals and objectives
  • Manages employees fairly and equally, setting fair and reasonable performance objectives, conducting performance evaluations, when due.

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/TASKS/ABILITIES:

  • Previous experience in a Quality role required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Ability to distinguish between product colors. Must pass Ishihara tests for color deficiencies with “Normal” results.
  • Strong knowledge of improvement techniques such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Strong Knowledge of Quality Standards.
  • Problem solving skills that include 8D and/or 5 phase processes.
  • Above average math skills with a strong emphasis on statistics.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of SPC and GD&T
  • Ability to perform dimensional verifications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting required completion dates.
  • ISO9001-2015 Lead Auditor Certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regularly required to speak and hear
  • Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Must be able to travel to customer, supplier, or plant locations
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop, or crouch
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
