Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform medical procedures under the supervision of a healthcare professional
  • Assist with patient care and monitoring in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, assisted living facilities, and medical offices
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers
  • Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities to the appropriate personnel
  • Assist with activities of daily living for patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality care for patients

Skills:

  • Experience in senior care, hospice care, or memory care is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients

Requirements

Education/Experience/Certification

CNA required.

CMA (Certified Medication Technician Not Medical Assistant) required

A minimum of one year experience working with elders or disabled individuals

Must demonstrate Leadership skills and capabilities

Knowledge of Assisted living, Dementia or Skilled Nursing preferred
