Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checks material to be cut against job ticket for material color accuracy.
  • Sets up machine, setting register guides. Receives setup approval from Finishing Lead or Finishing Supervisor prior to run.
  • Reviews blueprint and verifies job specifications such as shape and material color.
  • Performs cutting operations to close tolerances.
  • Continually monitors product to assure the parts meet BGS and customer specifications.
  • Advises Finishing Supervisor or Finishing Lead of any cutting problems and troubleshoots any issues as necessary.
  • Feeds and cuts material. Stacks sheets neatly utilizing proper handling techniques to minimize creases and defects.
  • Ensures accurate production records as required by recording finished product quantity correctly in quality management system.
  • Inspect machine guards for safety compliance.
  • Understands and implements all safety standards in all job duties performed in this role.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as necessary or required.
  • Must work well with others-this is a team effort with shared responsibilities.
