Sunlite Plastics – Germantown, WI

Sunlite Plastics, a division of Diversatek, Inc. has an exciting opportunity in our Medical Tubing Division in Wisconsin. We are looking for a Full-Time experienced Maintenance Assistant – 1st Shift to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, as well as maintaining facilities and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a good balance of mechanical and electrical experience. The hours for the position are 7am-3:30pm.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs equipment and building repairs.
  • Provides quick response to production downtime.
  • Setup of tooling and machinery.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance.
  • Use of computer to create and maintain purchase orders, maintenance, and repair logs.
  • Follows established safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, electrical diagrams, drawings.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s and electronic controls is a plus.
  • Experience with extrusion or industrial equipment is a plus.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Education and Experience:

  • Technical, Associates, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 + years of hands-on facilities and equipment maintenance experience.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to walk, bend, stoop, balance and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
