Location: Aberdeen Proving Grounds MD

Position Summary –

Orchestrates the development of a system of interest (encompassing hardware and/or software) through its entire life cycle, from requirements determination through operations and system retirement, with an emphasis on domain expert involvement, risk/opportunity management, and tailoring of processes to meet the needs of the specific project. Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise; full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members. Bachelors degree and 5+ years directly related experience or Masters degree and 3+ years directly related experience. Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles. Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles.

Client requires subject matter expert to apply expertise in RF analysis, design, and operations to support PM TN LOS, BLOS, and SATCOM transmission systems. Analyze data and translate those into recommendations while working with various teams across the organization. Develop data requirements to support research and development initiatives supporting modeling and simulation.

Experience and Job Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with RF communication systems.
  • Knowledge of Line of Sight, Beyond Line of Sight, and SATCOM systems.
  • Ability to interact with a technical audience on technical problems.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • AA or AS degree

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with channel simulators to support LOS, BLOS, and SATCOM system analysis.
  • Knowledge of one or more RF modeling and simulation tools: AGI STK or MATLAB.
  • Ability to take poorly defined problems and convert them into requirements.
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative and innovation to succeed in an ambiguous and fast paced environment, including composing client deliverable quality documentation, analysis and reports.
  • Ability to be highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • BA or BS degree preferred.
