WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR | KAIYUH SERVICES, LLC

JOB OVERVIEW

Kaiyuh Services, LLC (KSL) is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. This position operates and maintains the Yuma Desalting Plant, Water Quality Improvement Center. The pay for this position is $21.99 and includes a Health and Welfare contribution of $7.14 per hours worked to be contributed towards the benefit plan. Other benefits include paid vacation, holidays, sick leave, employee assistance program, and 401(k).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the operations and maintenance of the Yuma Desalting Plant Production Facility and the Yuma Area Office drinking water system
  • Perform routine and non-routine inspections of the entire water treatment facility
  • Collect and run routine bench top analysis of various water treatment samples
  • Collect, document and report operating conditions of specific water treatment equipment and systems
  • Recorded routine and non-routine activities during scheduled shifts
  • Perform housekeeping assignments as required for the water treatment facility
  • Perform incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Grade 1 Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Water Treatment Certification
  • Experience with operating and maintaining conventional pretreatment water systems
  • Experience with reverse osmosis systems
  • Higher level water treatment certifications are preferred
  • Knowledge of SCADA control systems from a user standpoint is desired
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License
  • Excellent customer service skills, including verbal communication and interpersonal relations skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Basic analytical and creative problem-solving skills, along with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites software
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The majority of work is performed in a field setting with some work in an office setting and interfaces with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities. During work in the field setting, the candidate will be exposed to an environment typical of the southwest desert. The candidate may also at times be required to work around chemicals typical of a water treatment facility.

ABOUT KAIYUH SERVICES, LLC

Our parent company, Gana-A'Yoo, Limited is an Alaska Native-Owned Village Corporation serving its more than 2,000 Native shareholders and four villages located along the Yukon River.
