Position Title: Weighmaster
Compensation:
Full-time, $21.50/hour Non-Exempt; 12-hour shift rotation

Scope & Responsibilities of Security Guard: (Not limited to)
This position is responsible for responsibilities associated with security, emergency notification, and management of inbound/outbound traffic to the main gates of refinery including blend plant. Individuals in this role serve to monitor, patrol, and protect assigned property, as well as promote and enforce safety and security measures and act as a visible deterrent against irregular activity.
- Perform roving patrol using ARG vehicle to access various areas of the plant to ensure gates are secured which requires exiting the vehicle to unlock manual gates or to check personnel gates.
- Monitor cameras that are provided to guard visibility and report suspicious activity.
- Manage access control to facility through pedestrian and vehicle drive gates.
- Report and address all incidents of unauthorized entry to the extent that you can do so safely.
- Activate emergency alarms notifications and monitoring fire alarms and respond accordingly with notification of ERT, local EMS or ARG personnel depending on the alarm that is received (fire, medical, spill, system trouble, etc.).
- Activate emergency notification system (Alert Media) from computer or assigned cell phone.
- Conduct functionality tests of the emergency notification system (Alert Medi) each shift and perform weekly functionality test of the emergency steam whistle.
- Monitor the lone worker/ man down meter and respond to alarms for a man down by calling appropriate personnel.
- Ensure all visitors, contractors, drivers are processed for entry (signed in, badge issued).
- Manage access control badge distribution and ensure badges are returned and report any missing badges.
- Review contractor database to ensure that contractors have completed orientation and deny access to all unapproved contractors until orientation is completed.
- Complete Daily Activity Report on computer with a detailed summary of daily activities.
- Monitor radio for confined space entry announcements and acknowledge such over the radio and track until entry work is completed.
- Report issues with any of the hardware, cameras, software in use at the Main Gate (Watchblock).
- Ensure drivers are aware of and understand ARG’s loading and unloading policy.
- Coordinate the routing of truck deliveries/shipments to the appropriate location for unloading/loading as indicated by Bill of Lading.
- Possess and maintain a valid Weighmaster license as issued by PA Dept. of Weights and Measures.
- Process trucks for loading which involves weighing trucks, completing truck loading worksheet with necessary information, verifying pick up number in the bill of lading system and signing by the driver for the load.
- Participate in all company required training, continuing educational courses via home study, seminars, etc. as needed to stay abreast of changing regulations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

Education & Experience for Security Guard:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Other Qualifications of Security Guard:
- Must possess and retain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license and be capable of operating all ARG safety vehicles.
- Obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Comprehension of ARG Main Gate Security (Watchblock) responsibilities
- Complete ARG contractor orientation course on-line and all company mandated &/or job-related training programs deemed appropriate.
- Must be able to read, write, and always maintain a professional demeanor.
- Able to work independently to organize and manage multiple tasks as required.
- Practice sound judgment and work effectively under sometimes stressful emergency conditions.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical & Cognitive Demands of Security Guard:
- COGNITIVE DEMANDS: Fast paced work environment, focus attention, work independently, communicating, reading comprehension.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: seeing, speaking, hearing, sitting, limited walking & standing, listening, writing, driving, keyboarding. Frequently uses visual, audio, speech, reading comprehension and various motor skills including sitting, walking, climbing, standing, reaching, writing, keyboarding, and driving. Must be able to push/pull/lift/carry or otherwise transport 20 lbs.
