The Content & Graphic Design Intern will assist in a fast-paced marketing startup, focusing on content creation and graphic design. This individual will primarily work on Indie’s owned channels, collaborating with the brand building team. They will also support client projects, gaining valuable experience and understanding of our client work.

Founded in 2018, Indie has grown to a team of 15 experienced marketers, spanning from coast to coast. Indie is a data-driven marketing consultancy providing in-sourced talent to collaborate on digitally led strategy, brand building, optimization, & upskilling. Our clients range from small startups to multi-national CPGs and our work varies from strategy to tactical execution. We are a team of ambitious learners who believe all marketing should be driving performance, while also rooted in empathy.


What you will be doing:


Responsibilities:

  • Design visually appealing website elements that are cohesive with the brand while keeping the consumer journey in mind.
  • Create graphics for specific brand or promotional needs, such as merchandise, displays, and digital imagery for social media posts, website graphics, etc.
  • Develop engaging content for internal social media accounts, including infographics and short-form videos.
  • Design visuals to accompany company blog posts, ensuring alignment with brand identity and messaging.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications to keep designs fresh and relevant.
  • Research and identify current trends to suggest new content ideas that attract prospective customers, such as promotions, reels, and interactive graphics, to maximize the effectiveness of social channels.
Requirements:


Who We’re Looking For:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree (Junior or Senior) in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field, preferred.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency in design and content.
  • Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Ability to create visually appealing content for various platforms, including websites and social media.
  • A quick learner who can work independently and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Strong organization skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Working knowledge of G-Suite, specifically Google Slides, Docs, Sheets, and Drive.
  • Experience with website design and development platforms such as Squarespace and WordPress (preferred).
  • Comfortable copywriting and editing content to align with brand voice and messaging.
  • Comfortable filming and editing short-form video content for social media and other digital platforms.

This is a paid internship ($20/hour), must commit 10 hours per week and virtually attend team meetings on Friday mornings and other occasional meetings (some virtual, some in person) on an ad hoc basis.
