What You Will Do:

  • Develop and oversee the player's combat mechanics, weapons, and abilities, focusing on both ranged and melee combat systems.
  • Drive core combat systems, including camera mechanics, enemy behaviour, and environmental interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with animators, gameplay programmers, and other teams to prototype and implement combat features.
  • Lead combat designs through the full development cycle from concept to release, ensuring a polished and engaging player experience.
  • Utilize metrics, player feedback, and diverse analytics to continuously improve and refine combat systems.

 

Who you are:

  • A Combat Designer with at least 5 years of experience working on multiple titles.
  • Have shipped at least one AAA game where you were heavily involved in, or in charge of, player combat mechanics and abilities.
  • Proficient with visual scripting languages such as Blueprint, Node Graphs, etc.
  • Possess a passion for and deep understanding of third-person combat mechanics, with experience playing a variety of titles.
  • Enjoy working with hands-on prototypes to iterate and refine combat systems.
