Front Counter Cashier

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFor our quick service restaurant, we are looking to add a welcoming and professional cashier to the team. As the customer's first point of contact, you will greet and serve customers as they enter the restaurant, respond to inquiries, and take orders for food and drinks. This is a busy, high-volume food service environment, and we need someone who can provide exceptional customer service. Additional duties include the cleanup of public areas, order packaging, and register tally at the end of the shift. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a willingness to be adaptable and take on a variety of tasks, are required of the ideal candidate. $12 - $17 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Assure prompt delivery of all customer food and beverage orders
• Accept orders from customers, type them into the register, and send them to the kitchen staff
• Respond to customer questions and assist them in deciding what to order
• Tell customers their order total, accept payments, and return any required change
• Clean and arrange eating, service, and kitchen spaces

Qualifications:

• Customer service skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with customers and colleagues alike is needed
• Basic computer skills or experience using a POS system and cash register skills are desired
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are needed
• Prior experience as a cashier or working with money considered a plus
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management abilities
