We are currently searching for Assemblers for our Mt. Carmel, IL location for 2nd shift hours 2:30pm-11:00pm, Monday-Friday. Before going to 2nd shift, training will be done on 1st shift hours 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday. If a community oriented, growth-focused career interests you, consider joining us today.

Opus Packaging is pleased to provide a competitive medical, vision, dental insurance package along with company paid life insurance for you and your family on your first day of employment. We also offer 401k with company match, paid time off, production bonus program, safety bonus program and safety shoe reimbursement. Potential pay increase after 60 days. New hires are also eligible for a $1,500 stay on bonus

What you need to be successful at Opus Packaging:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Work safely
  • Have good attendance
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed

It will be great if you also have:

  • Previous experience in warehouse or packaging environment
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to properly use and understand the required measurement equipment including tape measures, micrometers and other tools as required by specific job

During a normal workday you can expect to:

  • Bend, reach, stoop, squat and stand for 8 hours
  • Have good hand - eye coordination
  • Occasional lifting of 50 pounds and frequent lifting of 10-20 pounds
  • Understand machine set-up, machine runs, plant data entry, handwork or assembly assignments
