Position Summary

The Supervisor, Revenue manages and supervises the revenue accounting department to achieve goals within available resources. The ideal candidate will plan and organize workloads and staff assignments as well as train, motivate, and evaluate assigned staff.

In This Role, You Will

  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities and processing of all oil & gas revenue transactions, including actuals and accruals
  • Review monthly revenue check-write process for accuracy and reasonableness
  • Manage and review PPA process and PPA log
  • Approve State royalty and tax reports and payments
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Operations to understand data needs and requests; problem solve, resolve issues and provide data accurately and efficiently
  • Coach and develop staff, assist with process changes and enhancements, knowledge share and providing open communication regarding employees’ goals and performance
  • Manage and monitor team goals
  • Maintain all revenue-related SOX controls; participate in all controls testing by both internal and external auditors
  • Review and manage all internal and external revenue accounting audit requests
  • Draft, review and maintain all revenue-related accounting policies and procedures
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Ten (10) years minimum experience in oil and gas revenue/royalty accounting
  • Experience in the oil & gas industry along with SOX compliance preferred
  • Precise computation skills and rapid problem-solving ability
  • Highly developed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a team environment
