Summary:

This position is focused on internal and external reporting tasks required to ensure compliance under US GAAP as well as assist GL management. The position reports to and supports the Accounting Manager and interacts frequently and directly with external auditors, Corporate FP&A, Branch Managers, and various corporate functions. This position will be responsible for closing monthly books and records. In addition, this person assists in drafting and completion of audited financial statements, management, and bank reporting on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc basis.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead and assist in closing the books of the Company
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Prepares monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts including resolution of differences.
  • Perform banking functions including check deposits, recording ACH and other electronic deposits/payments, and other tasks
  • Responsible for Fixed Asset financial reporting including recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation and accounting for the deposition of fixed assets
  • Review fluctuations in accounts and write clear, concise explanations for variances.
  • Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements during quarter and year-end.
  • Supports various strategic initiatives including merger & acquisition activities.
  • Assist with 1099’s and audits
  • Develop and implement process improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested
  • Assist in coordinating external audit requirements and interact with external auditors.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other requirements.

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Certifications):

  • Active CPA License.
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience.
  • Previous audit experience a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or MBA a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written communication skills and technical savvy with MS office and tier one ERP
  • Organized and able to influence others to deliver results within established deadlines
  • Self-starter, proactive in resolving issue, collaborative and a team player
  • Deal well with uncertainty and time pressures


Working Conditions:

  • Some travel to branch offices
  • Office environment with extended hours during reporting periods (typically month, quarter and year-end)
  • Physical activity typical of office environment
