Job Responsibilities:

The Roofing Inspector & Repair Specialist - Home Improvement is responsible for assisting with overall management of comprehensive warranty work and risk management.

Coordinates closely with operations/project management, legal and estimating while implementing risk management policies and procedures to protect company\'s assets and minimize liability exposures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Day to day responsibilities

  •  Documenting and informing about roof condition
  • Determining job requirements and planning/configuring materials
  •  Installations, repairing and replacing roofing including conventional, inverted built-up, single-ply and two-ply modified. Using materials, such as wood, shingles, slate, metal flashing, and other appropriate materials
  • Day to day associated tasks including damp, water and weather- proofing, bind, insulate and seal openings in roofs installing and repairing slate, leadwork, guttering, tile and shingles, resurfacing roofs and associated joinery.
  • Undertaking examination, inspection, checking/assessing and when directed
  • Help to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes and working practices
  • Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements
  • Carry out tasks within agreed time limits
  • Ensure compliance to  agreed codes and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
  • Report to Production Dept.
  • Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organization and/or its clients/customers to Production Dept.
  • Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole
  • Contribute towards the smooth running of the team
  • Adhere to all organization policies and procedures

 

From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.

You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with the Production Dept. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organization generally.

REQUIREMENTS:
Insurance Construction Field a MUST, Risk Management, Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Effective time management skills
