Maintenance Technician

Who are we? An Introduction

Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium consists of a 1.5-million-gallon Aquarium Adventure showcasing 35,000 animals and our immersive Wildlife Galleries sharing the story of America's most significant conservationists throughout history and today. In 2022, Wonders of Wildlife became accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Accreditation signifies our exemplary standards for animal welfare, scientific education, and staff training. What it's like to be a Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of our facilities. This includes performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with equipment installations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and well-functioning environment for our visitors and staff. In this dynamic role, you'll have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to upholding the highest standards of excellence.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve responding to maintenance requests, inspecting equipment, and documenting maintenance activities to keep our operations running smoothly. Join us in creating memorable experiences for our guests through your diligent maintenance work

What matters most

To excel as a Maintenance Technician at Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, you must possess a range of skills. You should have a solid understanding of motor controls, pumps, physical plants, automated controls, and pneumatics to effectively troubleshoot and maintain equipment. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematic drawings, and diagrams is essential for carrying out repair and installation tasks accurately. Strong computer skills and clear communication abilities are necessary for documenting maintenance activities and liaising with team members.

Additionally, the capability to operate office and building equipment is crucial for executing day-to-day maintenance tasks efficiently.
