Your Opportunity + Impact

LDG is currently seeking qualified construction inspectors for heavy civil and Water Wastewater type projects in Central & North Central PA and the Southern Tier of NYS. Candidates with experience in trench work, construction roadways and water/ wastewater treatment plants will be considered.  Project documentation requires detailed daily reports with basic computer skills. These positions are for hire in late 2024.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspects, observes, and documents construction activities for Transportation and /or Civil projects.
  • Uses various computer software programs to document observations and creates inspection reports.
  • Continuously monitors work of team to ensure timely completion of project.
  • Interacts with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties on a regular basis.
  • Communicates information, responds to inquiries, and helps resolve field issues to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining required certifications.
  • Utilizes technical references appropriately for the inspection of structural, concrete, earthwork, building, and mechanical components.

Education and Experience

  • GED or high school diploma required. Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Licensures/Certifications: NICET Level II or higher in Highway Construction, NECEPT Bituminous Field & Concrete, and ACI preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Construction Inspection experience preferred. 
  • Experience working with CDS NeXtGen preferred.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
