Lead - Conveyor

Position will be reporting into supervisor or Manager for that function and lead the other workers in training and overseeing the work for that area. Responsible for operating conveyor belt that moves our packages from one place to another. Moves material to and from stockpiles and ensure they are safely transported.

Responsibilities:

• Operate conveyor belt to move objects.
• Control speed and route of objects.
• Wait for incoming shipments and estimate delivery times.
• Join sections of conveyor frames at temporary working areas, and connect power units.
• Clean conveyor belt and remove debris.
• Load, unload, or adjust materials or products on conveyors by hand, by using lifts, hoists, and scoops, or by opening gates, chutes, or hoppers.
• Observe conveyor operations and monitor lights, dials, and gauges, in order to maintain specified operating levels and to detect equipment malfunctions.
• Performs light housekeeping and stocking functions within designated areas as required.

Qualifications

• Must possess the ability to read, write and comprehend oral instructions
• Previous production experience in a factory setting
• Experience in apparel or 3PL strongly preferred
• Position will work shift assigned at our Distribution Center.
• Ability to lift loads if necessary
• Able to work occasional weekends, holidays and evenings
