As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be accountable for processes and workflow which lead to the timely payment of Powerhouse vendors. Workflow will include accurate and timely processing, reconciliations, and vendor communications for all service vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively identifying client billing requirements for each assigned project
  • Monitoring Accounts Payable Outlook inbox
  • Accurately uploading vendor invoices
  • Ensuring correct and accurate vendor information for payment
  • Working closely with vendor support team ensuring accurate vendor profiles
  • Communicating with clients and other departments to resolve issues and provide clarification
  • Understanding of the taxation of the project/contract to ensure accurate invoicing
  • Preparing timely and accurate client invoice/billing packages with all required billing documents
  • Tracking monthly revenue projections and report back to operations any variances or reconciling items
  • Making recommendations to improve quality of billing and delivery to client for timely payments
  • Analyzing and reconcile contract revenue and change orders to accounting records
  • Reviewing and monitor all applicable collection reports
  • Identifying issues attributing to account delinquency and discussing with management
  • Ensuring client’s Aging AR is accurate and collectible
  • Assisting in resolving any cash receipt issues related to AR balances
  • Meeting daily goals assigned by manager
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned by AP Manager and/or Department Head

Requirements:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and TRAINING:


2 years of relevant work experience required. Experience with the construction industry accounting preferred.


COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required

Great Plains software experience preferred

Strong sense of ethics and ability to work within a team environment

Excellent time management skills

Self-starter with ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands
