Remington College in Baton Rouge is seeking an exceptional registrar

If you’re a highly motivated professional with experience in student admissions/registration, academic recordkeeping, or office administration, and you have a desire to help students succeed, we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented campus registrar/retention coordinator to join our Fort Worth Campus and supervise the preparation, verification, dissemination, and storage of all official student academic records and files in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines. Retention Coordinator functions include serving as the primary student advisor, creating opportunities for student engagement and enhancement as well as providing customer service to the student body. Monitors attendance, assists in the notification and advising students not making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), and is a strong advocate for student retention. This individual will report to the Director of Campus Administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, and operates at all times within state and federal statutes and regulations and within standards of accreditation.
  • Creates, monitors, and adjusts campus course schedules.
  • Assigns faculty to courses and assists with monitoring class ratios.
  • Coordinates course schedules for hybrid and consortium (RCO) classes.
  • Performs new student registration and scheduling including verification of eligibility (meets admissions standards).
  • Resolves and processes documents regarding student records, graduation, and registration.
  • Maintains and updates all student records.
  • Maintains student academic records and files.
  • Processes student transcript requests made at the campus.
  • Reviews documentation for Proof of Graduation (POG), ensuring the POG meets Company policy.
  • Assists students with administrative issues as needed.
  • Creates or contributes to student communications (e.g. newsletters, email blasts, seminars, etc.)
  • Monitors attendance and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) on a daily basis to identify potential at-risk students.
  • Resolves and processes documents regarding student records, graduation, and registration.
  • Maintains and updates all student records.
  • Processes student transcript requests.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Maintains professional and effective working relationships with all other Campus personnel.
  • Conducts his or her professional and personal life in a fashion that fosters a positive impression of the Campus and the Company.
  • Performs the job on site when required. Remote work is appropriate when onsite work is not required. Subject to change if superseded by Human Resource policy regarding remote work.
Job RequirementsEducation:
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associate degree preferred.
Experience:
  • A minimum of one (1) to three (3) months of related experience.
