Job Description: We are looking for a DevOps Developer with a solid Python background to help automate and streamline our operations and processes. You will work with our software development, quality assurance, and IT operations teams to deploy and maintain scalable and reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable infrastructure as code using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Python scripting.
  • Build and improve the CI/CD pipeline for seamless integration and deployment using Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Python.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code in Python for automation tasks.
  • Manage version control repositories and automate backup and restore processes.
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented throughout infrastructure and code.
  • Document all processes, system changes/updates, and issues resolution.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and tools related to DevOps and cloud computing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix administration.
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or an equivalent.
  • Solid experience in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, etc.
  • Proficient with git and git workflows.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, etc.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of monitoring tools and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, etc.
  • Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude and ability to work under pressure.
