As a Transportation Dispatcher for Bellair Charters / Airporter Shuttle, you are the cornerstone of the company distributing information as quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. You'll keep all the moving pieces running each day smoothly. With no two days being the same, this job consistently provides challenging but rewarding opportunities to be responsible for knowing the disposition, location, and status of all company vehicles, maintaining communication with drivers and decision-makers, problem-solving breakdowns, and much more. We are hiring part time, could become full time Dispatchers for the following shifts:
2-3 evening shifts a week (1400-0030) with a 30 minute lunch
Dispatcher: $19.00 per hour while training / $21.00 once trained
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Previous dispatching experience not needed but a plus
- Dispatching drivers, equipment, and vehicles to locations according to passenger and company needs
- Advise drivers of traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, and other hazards
- Communicating work orders, messages, and information to or from management and passengers to drivers
- Communicating to drivers using two-way radios and telephones
- Navigating computer programs and reservation systems
- Entering data from vehicle information reports (VIR) into computer software
- Overseeing company communication within assigned areas of responsibility
- Monitoring personnel and equipment locations
- Assisting in the coordination of services and schedules
- Assisting reservation agents with passenger questions and requests
- Processing and tracking baggage delivery orders (BDOs)
- Communicating concisely and professionally with internal and external customers
- Perform additional administrative tasks in a computer system such as passenger and driver arrival and departure times, locations, and vehicle and driver assignments

Work Environment:
Reservationist & Transportation Dispatchers work in a open office environment. Noise and other distractions are common, and requires ability to focus in the middle of distractions.
