Job DescriptionJoin a leading designer and manufacturer of fiber optic networking products as a Semiconductor Wafer Process Operator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting production goals and upholding the highest company standards. You will be responsible for processing wafers and bars using specialized equipment to produce laser chips that drive key products in growing markets such as cable television broadband, fiber-to-the-home, and internet data centers. Responsibilities:
  • Process, produce, and inspect semiconductor chips during manufacturing.
  • Set up and operate production machines, including lapping and polishing equipment.
  • Measure and record process data in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Handle and manipulate wafers using precision tools such as tweezers and microscopes.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality and identify any defects.
  • Maintain accurate production logs and documentation throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
  • Adhere to cleanroom protocols and safety guidelines to maintain product integrity.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment, particularly in assembly or manufacturing.
  • Proficient in using microscopes, hand tools, and tweezers for handling small devices.
  • Ability to plan, layout, and operate production equipment with precision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standards and process documentation is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for handling delicate components.
