Job Summary


The Senior Director, Commercial Operations and Analytics will lead the operations and Incentive Compensation team and be responsible for developing and producing timely and accurate business reports as well as management of the data environment and the incentive compensation plan. This role will also be responsible for the purchase of all data sources needed create key reports for the day-to-day operations of the business. This position will assist in providing analytical support and insights for the marketing team and other commercial stakeholders including the compliance team in order to help make better business decisions. The candidate needs to have the ability to develop and analyze data to create dashboards as well as make insights and recommendations. They are expected to maintain an in-depth knowledge of the product category, the customers, and competition. This position will need to develop a close working relationship with all functional stakeholders (includes Marketing, Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Compliance, Training, and Finance).


Responsibilities


  • Responsible for leading the operations, analytics and incentive compensation team.
  • Responsible for the measurement of specialty product sales and marketing initiatives to determine the effectiveness of market programs through data analysis.
  • Able to comfortably present the findings and make recommendations.
  • Flawless execution and delivery of Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reports evaluating the effectiveness of the businesses.
  • Maintain and update various brand performance and market forecasts
  • Fulfill ad-hoc requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Be pro-active in providing actionable customer insights and category/market analysis to support strategy, innovation and business development/management for sales and marketing teams.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of the company’s incentive compensation plan.
  • Continuously monitor field sales workforce performance against incentive plan metrics to ensure incentive plan effectiveness, efficiencies and accuracy
  • Provide regular timely and accurate ad hoc analysis and reporting on incentive compensation trending, payments and other related items •
  • Provide budget and performance projections related to Incentive Compensation and track against actual monitor performance.


List of qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • Minimum of 6 years pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales operations experience required.
  • Experience managing Incentive Compensation programs preferred.
  • Consistent track record of performance.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to communicate cross functionally and within the region to share results, assist in training and develop best practices.
  • Resourceful, creative, enthusiastic, and results-oriented.
