The YMCA Camp Thunderbird is currently seeking energetic and responsible individuals to work as Camp Counselors for our summer day camp programs. This part time position starts at $15.00 per hour. As a YMCA Employee you also get a Free Gym Membership.

Camp Thunderbird is an exciting Outdoor Camp where we teach cannoning, zip line, wall climbing and much more exciting adventures

We also provide bus stop to help with transportation getting to Camp Thunderbird

Tuckahoe YMCA

Shady Grove YMCA

Clarksprings Elementary

Atlee Library

The Works

Woodlake United Methodist

Bon Air Baptist Church

DUTIES of a Camp Counselor

Summer Camp Counselors have the opportunity to positively impact hundreds of youth in our community. We are looking for dependable role models who love to have outdoor fun As a camp Counselor, you will be responsible for the well-being of your campers and providing a safe, engaging environment for them.

QUALIFICATIONS of a Camp Counselor

Successful candidates must be 18 years old with a high school diploma/GED. Counselors must have at least six months of youth development experience. College level courses and CPR/AED/First Aid are highly desirable but not needed.
