Dispatcher - Valhalla, NY

22.28 per hour, plus supplemental $2.30 per hour, = total pay $24.58 for first 40 hrs. per week

Schedule varies, must be available for days, afternoons and weekends

Position Summary

The Security Dispatch Officer manages dispatching and security guard duties onsite within a client location, ensuring the safety and security of all visitors, guests and residents and exhibiting excellent customer service, communication and hospitality; The Security Dispatch Officer is perceptive at identifying situational risk within assigned areas. promptly communicating events to Site Supervisor/ Manager and employs at all times vigilance and tactfulness per company standards of protocol.

The Security Dispatch Officer works in conjunction with Supervisor staff and Operations teams to foster best practices that are compliant with federal/state regulations and respectful of our company policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and answering emergency and non-emergency calls
  • Recording and relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from work crews, field inspectors, supervisors or emergency personnel
  • Use of telephones, two-way radios or text messages to contact employees or emergency personnel
  • Receiving and dispatching orders
  • Assessing situation and prioritizing calls

Qualifications:

  • Valid NYS Security Guard License
  • Completion of 16 HR OJT Class required by NYS Licensing Division
  • 2 years of Security guard experience
  • Valid NY Driver's License
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Supervisory experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent customer service, communication and hospitality skills
