A growing law firm near Reading is looking for an attorney who is ready to represent their existing client base. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm's clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. If you have the ability to handle a diverse caseload, have stellar research and writing skills, can communicate effectively, and use today's technology well, please start your application today

Responsibilities:

  • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
  • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
  • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
  • Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects
  • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in criminal defense
  • Must be barred in Pennsylvania
  • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
  • Prior experience in Criminal Jury trial cases is highly preferred
  • Must have some professional writing samples.
  • Looking for someone who will be a part of our team on a long-term basis.
